…in a Galaxy far, far away… well, more like: from 1995 to 2000. During that time, I owned and operated a sign shop. I called the business Art Industries.
With Art Industries, I carved a niche with clients who demanded high-quality product with attention-grabbing designs.
During those years, we produced graphics for entire vehicle fleets. For most of these, I usually designed the graphics to complement the client’s marketing or identity. In some instances, I produced these designs from concepts I created. The execution of these designs required complex logistics, as these vehicles were normally operating as part of a fleet.
Knowledge of materials was critical to offering a product capable of withstanding the harsh conditions vehicle graphics encounter.
Some of the work included tradeshow displays and informational kiosks.
I did a lot more than shown here over the roughly five year adventure that was Art Industries. If you would like to know more about it, please contact me using the link to the right.

Monument Sign Design, SketchUp 3D Model
Proposal for main identification sign (“CVS” used as a placeholder only). I like that even simple 3D models like this can communicate design intent so much better that conventional orthographic views…
…and yet, contrary to popular belief, 3D models offer great tools to quickly produce 2D drawings with accurate dimensions and orthographic views.
Let me show you how I can add impact to your presentations, and enhance communication with fabrication using 3D illustration. Please use the contact link to the right.
